Way of Life Collection

A visual exploration of spirituality, culture, unity, and the enduring connection between humanity and the natural world as understood through the lens of Lakota tradition.

The collection celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Lakota people through traditional practices, symbols, and stories that have shaped their identity over time. Elements like the medicine wheel, ceremonial rites, and dedications to ancestors highlight the significance of cultural heritage in shaping collective identity and providing a sense of continuity and belonging.

Throughout the paintings, there is a recurring theme of unity and harmony, both within the Lakota community and among all races. The four races through the medicine wheel colors, the prophecy of the White Buffalo Calf Pipe Woman, and dedications to Chief Marvin's mother and horse all emphasize the importance of unity and cooperation for a balanced and harmonious existence.

The collection also communicates the deep connection between humanity and the natural world, portraying nature as a teacher and guide in life. The cyclical nature of life and the continuity of cultural practices across generations are united through tradition.

We honor the past while looking towards the future with the "Way of Life Collection."
